Fashion for a Social Cause

Singapore Fashion Runway nurtures our beneficiaries who are special needs, disabled, have chronic illness, are breast cancer patients and survivors in their journey of fashion, so that they can learn a skill and seek happiness while battling with their illness.

Be it through designing, sewing, modelling, photography, styling, writing and/ or events organising, these beneficiaries learn about confidence building, talents incubation and integration with the other abled local talents from Singapore.

Singapore Fashion Runway creates platforms and opportunities in the development of one's giving and big heart through Fashion for a Social Cause. Join us as we put our hands and hearts on our sleeves!

"Dear Singapore Fashion Runway, all that matters is that you and your followers are doing great for a social cause. You have given opportunity and a platform for parents with special needs kids to showcase themselves, to interact with mainstream society and to let them know and understand what it is like to have and be a special need. Keep up the good work, Singapore Fashion Runway!"

- Father of Wong Cheok Hon.

"Hi everyone, I am Eileen, the founder of Singapore Fashion Runway. When I started this platform during SG50, I wanted to give back to Singapore. Along the way, I found a lot of people who have a lot of talents, but they may be harbouring an illness. They could be a special needs family, a disabled, a deaf or a breast cancer patient. I realised that what makes me motivated to continue my journey after SG50, is to coin Fashion for a Social Cause. Whereby, the public can see through a runway show, and through following the stories of how these lives can be impacted. Please support us in what we do and start giving."

Stories of our beneficiaries

"Hi, my name is Kelly. I am a breast cancer survivor since 2008. On the day when my doctor told me that I have breast cancer, my whole life just collapsed and changed. I feel the pain and fear, but at the same time I know that I cannot turn back the clock. So, I accepted the diagnosis, focused on the treatments and I never look back since then. Because I was given a second chance to live, so I choose to have fun and enjoy myself every moment of my life. I thank Singapore Fashion Runway for giving me a chance to live my dream."

"I enrol in Singapore Fashion Runway to give myself a taste of dressing up properly and walking in a manner that is a bit more graceful. Otherwise I walk very sloppily and not properly. Hopefully I will learn from all these activities and exposure and grow up to be contributing to the society from special needs people. So that through such activities, special needs children can be accepted by society and not be shunned or looked down upon."
